Santa Barbara College of the University of California-- Mesa Campus Master Plan
Description
This master plan of the Leadbetter Mesa campus, assumed to be drawn by Soule & Murphy, shows a large number of buildings built on the mesa and surrounding areas. The Arts buildings were clustered towards the Cliff Drive side of campus, while the Science buildings were closer to the ocean. Dormitories and a student union were in the area of the SBCC west campus, with a large amphitheater and tennis courts along Loma Alta Drive. The football stadium had been built in 1940, and other athletic buildings were added to the area below the mesa, along with 'beach sports' on west beach, and 'yachting' in the harbor.
